An exhausting war on emissions
| Quote From Source: | In 1991, Norway became one of the first countries in the world to impose a stiff tax on harmful greenhouse gas emissions. Since then, the country's emissions should have dropped. Instead, they have risen by 15%
Although the tax forced Norway's oil and gas sector to become among the greenest in the world, soaring energy prices led to a boom in offshore production, which in turn boosted overall emissions. So did drivers. Norwegians, who already pay nearly $10 a gallon, took the tax in stride, buying more cars and driving them more. And numerous industries won exemptions from the tax, carrying on unchanged.

That is pretty much how it works. A new tool for taking the people. And as is so often the people don't get anything in return for their taxes. It all goes to those who are already well off.

Meat must be rationed to four portions a week, says report on climate change
| Quote From Source: | People will have to be rationed to four modest portions of meat and one litre of milk a week if the world is to avoid run-away climate change, a major new report warns.
The report, by the Food Climate Research Network, based at the University of Surrey, also says total food consumption should be reduced, especially "low nutritional value" treats such as alcohol, sweets and chocolates.

This is war against humanity. When these clowns (Gore, Hansen, Mann) get exposed for fraud, the suffering they impose should be used against them as crimes against them. |

We are meat eaters. That is what we do. If that has a negative impact on our climate (which I doubt) then we'll just have to go extinct. What next? Are they going to say there is a declining oxygen level and we all need to ration breathing?

I wouldn't put it past them. The green movement is ridiculous. |

PETA, not to be confused with People Eating Tasty Animals, has been trying to fuse the two "green" issues for years. |
