CO2 Sinks

Tried to research as much as I can on CO2 sinks in the climate but the results look really faulty.

What I mean by faulty is, CO2 sinks that the current research has logically don't mesh with the ultra long term CO2 patterns shown on the CO2-Global Temperature article on climatepatrol.com homepage.

Here are the 3 primary heat sinks listed

1) Forests
2) Ocean
3) Soil.

ok, the science shows that all three do absorb CO2, ocean especially. But all three, to me, are pretty constant.

for the sharp drops in CO2 that the graphs show happening *after* the temperature has gone down, did 1) forests grow at a maddening rate, 2) an ocean pop up? 3) a continent pop up?

all three have to be a No.

So where did the CO2 go?

ice ice baby

since we know large amounts of CO2 are locked in ice currently,
I would guess a sudden, hard freeze would remove some of the
CO2 from the air...

ice is a logical explanation, i tried looking up research on how ice absorbs CO2 or what the data is on how much it can absorb but couldn't find anything. if anyone can find out about ice and CO2, that'd be great.

i'm really interested in Ice as a CO2 sink because it sounds off to me. why/how would solid water absorb CO2 in the first place? And could it absorb enough to make a difference?

One possibility is that ice wipes out the CO2 producers.
