The truth about global warming and the coming ice age

I read this prediction 48 years ago. When a sophomore in college and enrolled in an Expository Writing class, I wrote a research paper, part of which was based upon an article by a freelance writer, Betty Friedan. This was five years before she wrote The Feminine Mystique (1963). Her inquiry, "The Coming Ice Age," was published in Harper's Magazine in September of that year. The article stirred my imagination. Since I expected to live another 100 years, I kept the magazine as a reminder to look into it 50 years later. We're almost there.

I have stated over the last couple of years that I feel mankind/humans are in error in predicting weather/climate/global warming, and the ozone hole.
Let me explain by saying this. Scientists agree that Earth is 4.5 billion years old. Say that they are wrong and its only 250 million years old. We have been monitoring and studying the climate for how long with science? Lets say 200 years just to be safe, and its only been really hot science since the 40's during WWII. As we go on and develope new technologies we only get better at guessing. Even with 200 years of science what is that compared to 250 million years, or 4.5 billion? Its nothing, not even a drop in the bucket.
Lets look at this last hurricane season as proof. They said it would be an extremely busy one yet is was one of the most mild ones I have ever seen. In other words they have no clue. Look at the ozone hole. As it grows and shrinks, scientists throw up red warning flags left and right. OMG, its like the biggest we have ever seen. Well how long have we been watching it? It is wrong to assume, but couldnt we just assume that 775,332 years ago it was just as big? Or how about twice as big? One can specualte and use science and convince anybody that its big now, and it shouldnt be. But do they really know?
I will say we are also trashing this planet at an unprecidented rate. Pollution is disgusting and we are wasting our fresh water supply and we are tearing down our forests faster then they can regrow. Just like the Roman empire and the Mighty Egyptians, all empires fall. The human race may remain, but it will be different in the future. Greed and profit will be the demise of our current way of life.
They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out.
