Trojan Adware Hiding in MP3s

Although McAfee has seen some nasty software disguising itself as media files in the past, it has never seen anything on this scale, Schmugar said. Over the past 24 hours, nearly a third of the McAfee customers who reported data back to the security company have detected these files, he said.
In the past few days McAfee has spotted the files on more than 360,000 users' desktops.

I am suprised that the RIAA has not come up with this tactic till now...not they would step up & claim to doing this...but how many other organizations could benefit from such a thing? |

I know stuff like that has been done with video torrents. Just flood the feeds with garbage files. So you never know if you are wasting your time downloading a good file or a virus. Personally I'd rather just not waste the time. I'll just buy what I need.
