My guess is that what the picked up was an experimental low orbit spy satellite. I suspect that the reason it crashed here is because it is spying on Americans and not the enemy. I have no doubt in my mind that this device was created for nefarious purposes. The kind of people that showed up don't show up because a TV satellite came down. And since it crashed over the US makes it clear it wasn't spying on terrorists in Iraq.
