Is the end nigh?

Quote From Source:
The greatest science experiment in the history of the world, due to begin tomorrow, is imperilled by bizarre allegations that it will bring about the cataclysmic end of that very same world.

Located deep underground on the Swiss-French border, the Large Hadron Collider is a 27-kilometre-long circular tunnel in which high-energy beams of protons travelling in opposite directions are to be slammed into each other at energies up to seven times greater than any achieved before. Scientists will be monitoring the subatomic particles created by the collisions and hope the grand experiment will recapture conditions not seen since the birth of the universe.

The project was the subject of arguments last week in a court in Hawaii, as environmentalists sought to delay its start-up over concerns it will create tiny black holes that could expand to swallow the globe.

so much for global warming eh.

Environmentalists/liberals unite to fight/combat global swallowing!

Four years? Good. If this triggers an out of control black hole that would give me four years to hunt those down that are responsible and end them. I think every man on this planet should make that his last action. Hunt those responsible. And it won't be a slow death for them either. If we are all going to go they are going to go first.

October 7th, keep your eyes on that date!!

i don't think there's anything to worry about...

there's already one in operation in chicago according to that article. The LHC is just a lot bigger...(according to the article)

I'm guessing all this controversy is political. One group of scientists against multiple groups of scientists and environmentalists.
