Imagine that! 79 volcanoes on watch as of now.

I never thought there actually would become too few scientists to cover the things that are happening right now! Indonesia is the Mecca of vulcanologists right now, indeed!

And as the news says, there is a big boss summit next week over there. I wonder if they feel comfortable doing whatever they do, during quakes and eruptions...

Quote From Source:

JAKARTA - As two earthquakes shook Indonesia's Java island on Friday, Indonesian seismologists placed 79 volcanoes on a "close watch" list, up from the 11. Indonesian scientists had placed 11 volcanoes on the list on Thursday. Volcanologist Wimpy Cecep said: "There are 79 volcanoes which need to be closely watched and they are being monitored by all observation posts."

this is amazing, I've *never* heard of such a thing... but then again I recently said that about the number of quakes on this page... http://www.iris.edu/seismon/last30days.phtml over 600 for some time now... It seems we are indeed building towards a big event, perhaps multiple big events

Ya know I was just joking about that multicano thing...but the more I think about it..the more I realise just how possible this type of event could be feasable. Not to mention how bad it could be. 79 Tamboras or Pinatubos or Krakatoas going off could/would bring modern civilization to its knees. Perhaps this is the earths way of fighting back..Its about to reformat and do a clean install.
