Venezuela Set to Develop Nuclear Power With Russia

Quote From Source:
President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that Russia will help Venezuela develop nuclear energy — a move likely to raise U.S. concerns over increasingly close cooperation between Caracas and Moscow.

Russia has ramped up its cooperation with Venezuela since last month's war with Georgia, which badly damaged Moscow's already strained ties with the West, particularly the United States.

During Chavez's visit to Russia last week, a Russian naval squadron sailed for the Caribbean Sea in preparation for joint exercises with Venezuela later this year — a move that appeared retaliatory after the U.S. sent warships to deliver aid to Georgia.

Like Bush43 said "You're either with us or against us ...". Just remove the part about the war on terror.

I agree 100%.

This can't be good news on our part.

It seems like every day, more people [countries] are turning against us. It's frightning and sickening at the same time.

You know the expression, "Don't quit your day job?" Well what do you say to
people that work nights?

We can't afford it.

Patriot missile shield?

The effective range for patriot missiles, up to 2 miles away, I don't see that being much good, if it just sets off the Nukes two miles out.

That will almost take you out of the fireball, but the shock front will still be effective 18 miles behind you....and the fallout radiation will still deposit almost the same, less material but more concentrated radiation hazards.

They were designed for Scuds and such, High Explosive rounds only.

the so called patriot missiles actually had a *very* poor record
during the war, it was covered up well.
