Pailin Busted

The McCain camp tried to get a jump on the report indicating that Palin did nothing wrong. Well the report says otherwise. Busted!

Quote From Source:
Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin abused her power as Alaska's governor by trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired from the state police, a state investigator's report concluded Friday.

"Gov. Palin knowingly permitted a situation to continue where impermissible pressure was placed on several subordinates in order to advance a personal agenda," the report states.

Picking her was a terrible mistake for McCain. This pick I believe has cost him the election.

yes because no president or other political power has ever used their power to hire or fire anyone. Or say, have anyone killed.

Remember the big deal that was made about Clinton and how he tried pot but didn't inhale?

Another reason she fired him. Wait, she contradicts herself again..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQEJMWrgsuE

I case you don't catch it, one clip shows her claiming she fired him for his weakness in rural alcohol abuse issues. The next shows her saying right after firing him that she offered him a new job as head of the Alcohol Beverage Control Board because he was strong in the very same area.

Senators are connected to murders and disappearances, Presidents connected with people disappearing. Them getting slapped on the wrist for murders. They don't always get into trouble and in the grand of scheme of things getting a brother-in-law fired isn't a huge issue. Hell, in any business the top people get people fired for lesser reasons.

If this and her pregnant teenager are all people have on her, then bring it on.

I know for a fact if we dug into personal histories of everyone on here we'd find things just as bad or worse. Myself included. Right now everything that's been said about her is nit picking.

...and that makes it ok? Just because others do it, doesn't make it acceptable for another to break the law. The laws are there for a reason. We have enough crooks in government already. The more we weed out, the better off everyone will be.

The other thing that amazes me to no end is how conservatives think she's the best thing since sliced bread. They are so narrow minded that they kowtow to anything that is presented before them. It's like they don't have minds of their own. They don't question reckless decisions such as this one of McCain's to choose someone like this to be president if he kicks the bucket.

I mean this is a person who takes the prospect of nuclear holocaust lightly. The below statement made my eyes go wide open in disbelief and my mind say "WTF???" This person either doesn't care or has no fucking clue what war with russia would mean. Careless, reckless or fanatical. Whatever the reason, she has NO BUSINESS ever, EVER being anywhere near the nuke button.

CHARLES GIBSON: And under the NATO treaty, wouldn't we then have to go to war if Russia went into Georgia?

PALIN: Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you're going to be expected to be called upon and help

I'm not saying it's okay. I'm saying she's getting torn apart for things that you would find pretty much anyone with power doing at some point. Most people get torn apart for their beliefs or connections to "bad people". She's getting torn apart because her teenage daughter is pregnant, she got her brother-in-law fired, and she got caught off guard and made comments that people didn't like. Which has happened to every single candidate.

If you're going to go at her, go after her beliefs of pro-life or abstinence only, or something that legitimately will effect her job as vice president. Not something that every single president has done.

She wants the #2 job in the country. Everything is fair game. If she wanted to work at Kmart nobody would care. Actually that is about what is is qualified for. Retail sales. She can either sell Mary Kay or encyclopedia sets.

I think it would be more fair if there was a Biden Thread. Ya'll are attacking Palin with great vigor and not hardly a word of Biden. Lets sling some mud that way and make things even?

They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out.

I don't think she'd be a very effective encyclopaedia salesperson.

I totally agree.

Btw when it comes down to it, she's actually run a state. None of the others have experience of this nature. So, in terms of experience for the job, she's the best of the 4.
