Insect Attack May Have Finished Off Dinosaurs
| Quote From Source: | ScienceDaily (Jan. 4, 2008) — Asteroid impacts or massive volcanic flows might have occurred around the time dinosaurs became extinct, but a new arguemet is that the mightiest creatures the world has ever known may have been brought down by a tiny, much less dramatic force -- biting, disease-carrying insects.

I don't think we can really say all of what killed off the dinosaurs, and while insects may have contributed, especially in light of other things that were happening, like sudden climate change, but I don't think you can (and the article doesn't) say insects were the final straw. Anyway, interesting read. |
