Republicans Blocking Efforts To Bring Down Oil Prices
I always thought Republicans were pretty transparent when it came to their support of big oil and high prices but this is really pushing it. They are blocking a bill to curb oil speculation. Their claim is that it is a simple case of supply not meeting demand which is absolute nonsense. Ever not been able to get gas? Didn't think so. So are also blocking an attempt to get 70 million barrels released from the strategic reserve. Not only do I think they are trying to keep prices high so their friends can make bigger profits I also think the strategic reserve was loaded up the way it was in order to drive up prices.
Say what you will. I think their motives are very transparent.
