Wind Power Explored Off California's Coast

Quote From Source:
ScienceDaily (Dec. 18, 2007) — In many ways, wind energy seems an ideal energy source. Fields of mighty turbines spinning in rhythm could harness carbonless power and shuttle it off to homes and industries. But questions remain about the feasibility of wind parks: How much will they cost? Can this unpredictable energy source be relied upon to contribute appreciably to the country's power needs?

we cant just run off off wind power. it needs to be a mix of solar, wind and geothermal. thought most people hate it, i like hydro also. at least one can always feeding us power at any given time.

I'll say it again, we need to diversify. We need to options in case some of them fail us.

I know it's hard to diversify, but it beats the alternative, a fuel crunch.

Imagine what would happen if people invested in simple things like solar and wind power for their homes. It would take a huge load off our national power grid.
