Prius Outdoes Hummer in Environmental Damage
| Quote From Source: |
The Toyota Prius has become the flagship car for those in our society so environmentally conscious that they are willing to spend a premium to show the world how much they care. Unfortunately for them, their ultimate ‘green car' is the source of some of the worst pollution in North America; it takes more combined energy per Prius to produce than a Hummer.

I have no clue to the merit of this, but it's interesting reading. |

I've heard this before, the overall energy costs to produce and drive (per the life of the car) is greater for the hybrids than regular cars. Not sure where I heard that, but I have heard that. |

It isn't about the cost of energy but the TYPE of energy that is the issue to me. How clean is the energy? That is what really matters.
