they say to use about 2-3 oz per 10 gallons. just dont let it get on any of ur paint. there is also the suggested possibility of added wear and tear on rubbers and plastics so be ware. i think i might try it though. i think when it harms the car, its because people use too much.
im going to try and give it a try though...maybe. |

Thats amazing. Two ounces of pure acetone per 10 gallons of gas increased his fuel efficiency dramatically. Nice. From 24mpg to 34mpg. Turning off your car and starting it up again has to be bad for your starter so I wouldn't mess with that. But the other steps were good. So with realistic steps we could say 17mpg to 30mpg. Not bad.
Where do you get pure acetone and how expensive is it? Are there any explosive risks involved with mixing it with gasoline?

I read about this on a GLP thread at least a year ago...
no doubt a quick google will find various stories - I simply can't
take the chance on damaging my only vehicles right now.
but this experiment is on my list.

well it seems to be helping my gas mileage a lot. not sure if its hurting my engine but im going to keep using it. |
