Ugggh, what is wrong with people. I remember an area I used to camp in a lot in, in central Washington was having a bad fire year a few years ago, some idiot's were lighting forest fires to try and keep people from moving there.

so thats how i can keep texans and californians away from moving to durango...thanks for the good idea. this will also driving the housing market down so that i can afford to buy a house.

all joking aside, its not going to take some idiot trying to start fires this coming summer with how its been so dry lately, it will probably be someone tossing a cigarette butt out their window or something stupid like that.

Well with the housing slump and the Subprime mortgage mess I'm not surprised. People were burning up their SUV's after gas hit $3.00 a gallon.

You know the old joke about wrecking your truck to get the insurance money to make the truck payment??

Well after your interest only payment of 6% ends after 1 year on your $400,000 home and it jumps to 12% interest, and then you have to start paying on the principal as well, your payments jump from $1200.00 a month to $4000.000 a month. That is the sub prime loan mess in a nutshell. I'm surprised more and more homes are not being burned down. Seriously. They bought these homes with no intention of keeping them and were hoping to flip them for a profit before they sub prime loan flipped and started costing too much. Now that the housing bubble popped and the $400,000 home is now worth $300,000 you either walk away or figure out how else to deal with the problem.

Wild fires in California are pretty common right?

They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out.

We hear about them at least three or four times a year.

and Yes it is confirmed that the fires were arson.

You know the expression, "Don't quit your day job?" Well what do you say to
people that work nights?
