Evacuations Ordered Due To Little Tujunga Canyon

Quote From Source:
SUNLAND, Calif. -- A wildfire broke out amid gusty conditions in Little Tujunga Canyon early Sunday and scorched more than 400 acres, threatening 400 homes and prompting the evacuation of Kagel and Lopez canyons.

Blowing embers and winds of 15-20 mph made the fire spread rapidly shortly after it broke out near a shooting range in the Angeles National Forest in the 12000 block of the canyon road about 2 a.m.

The fire moved southwest out of Little Tujunga Canyon into the mouth Kagel and Lopez canyons, said Los Angeles County fire Inspector Sam Padilla.

Fire Line Moves Toward Simi Valley Homes

Quote From Source:
SUNLAND, Calif. --
A line of fire advanced toward a Simi Valley neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

Crews battling the Sesnon Fire are using air and ground resources to protect the homes.

As the wind-fueled Sesnon Fire continued its out-of-control march through brush around Porter Ranch, fire crews made a stand Tuesday on the northern edge of the Knollwood neighborhood as a flare-up pushed flames dangerously close to some backyards and forced dozens of residents to flee their homes.
