Solar Fun (SOLF) advise..HOLD..BUY if you have guts

If you bought into SOLF, it may be wise to get out. It may keep climping but I got this tip from Motley Fool....

Quote From Source:
You'd think that Solarfun, which recently raised its full-year revenue guidance, would top today's list. Here's why it doesn't: Three senior executives left the company last week, including the former CFO and principal accounting officer.

Nothing sinister appears to be occurring here, but I still question the timing. Solarfun's results have rarely been better, and solar stocks in general, including rocket stock Evergreen Solar (Nasdaq: ESLR), have been thriving. Why let the top two numbers guys, both of whom needed only to renew their contracts, leave now?

I'm going to put ESLR on my future buy list at this point and forget about SOLF.....something is weird about that.

Its your choice to stay in...it may make more money....then again it may tank soon. Its what I would call a gamble...and I'm not a gambler.

A smart friend of mine mentioned this on SOLF;

"Climactic Top ...

A sharp advance, accompanied by extraordinary volume, much larger volume than the normal increase, which signals the final "Blow-off" of the trend, followed by either a Reversal, or at least a correction."

Average Volume on this stock is 816,297
Last 4 days its been climbing the volume was 4 million
Today it jumped a bunch it was 8,241,939.

Time for the profit takers to get their money.

Who wants to bet it goes down tomorrow? I just sold all my shares...we will see. Even if it goes up...I'll be feeling much better.

Stick with YGE, STP, and SPWR for now....

Thanks for all of the advice Fatal, I'm researching now, gonna invest very soon. I've been wanting to invest in some of the new technology, but have been kind of afraid to.

I've never done stocks, except a couple tech stocks in the mid-late 90's, which didn't go so well.

Solars are mopping butt in this market....watch them all in the morning and look at the volume. Those with the highest volume are going to go up the most....if they are going up that is with the volume. If volume increases and they drop...get out. You can maximize your gains that way.

I say don't day trade...but in this market..it is advisable. Due to the fact that there really are only a few stocks that go up...most go down. The ratio sucks. The solar stocks are smoking atm. Next week...who knows.

If you want to go long in something get ATVI...activision. It goes up really slow and rarely goes down....even in a correction. If the market tanks completely...no stock will be spared and I'll be sitting in cash waiting on a better day. You need to watch your stocks constantly. The minute volume starts to drop....its time to get out.

I'll be checking things every 1/2 hour....seriously. This market is that volatile. You are rich and swimming in dough one minute and scraping the bottom the next.

When these stocks go up that fast..they come down just as fast. Solars are rockets right now...fuel runs out eventually though. Keep an eye on these.

All the solars have been shining bright the last couple of days....If you bought on the third..you have some nice gains already.

Now is not the time to buy them though. Some have jumped up quite a bit. Wait for them to drop a bit then get in.

The solars have gone up so much in the last week I would stay out of them for a while and give them a chance to settle at these new highs.

So you have time anyhow.

Start doing research on some of the geo thermal stocks and other things. Market may be funny tomorrw...i'm sitting in cash until I see what happens with the fed.

Well the market just went through a 1 day correction and I'm not too sure its over yet. Maybe the volume will be up tomorrow...be glad you missed the drop today.

Research the company and just don't dump your money in a stock and walk away.....

There is a right time to buy...and a wrong time. Order

"How to make money in stocks" and read and use this time you are waiting to learn. The stocks will still be there.....

I'd stay out of the market for a day or so..I was all cash today. So glad I was.

I tell you what, it's a shame these guys aren't taking any more investors:

http://www.nanosolar.com/

If this method of making solar panels using printing techniques is all kosher, it's a massive massive breakthrough. You'll be seeing this technology used everywhere.

Theres a great article here:

They may launch as an IPO sometime and then you buy it.
