Fuel-Tech (FTEK) Watch

In a crashing market this stock seems to go up everyday (last three days....pennies at a time...but everything else has been dropping). Sometimes its down, but seems to always close up just a tad. Its what is known as trading sideways and it could be developing a base. Read their website and you can see why. Insider buying has been very strong on this stock...they are buying it up like mad.

http://www.fueltechnv.com/

Watch it......its still cheap. Closed at $18.19 today. Fuel-Tech is looking at 280% growth next year. This would be a great investment in a hot market. In a cold bearish market it may be a safe stock for you to play around with. I'd watch it for a bit.

Fuel-Tech (FTEK)

Last Trade: 18.19
Trade Time: 4:00PM ET
Change: Up 0.63 (3.59%)
Prev Close: 17.56
Open: 17.99
Bid: 17.80 x 100
Ask: N/A
1y Target Est: 33.38

Day's Range: 17.86 - 18.47
52wk Range: 16.89 - 38.20
Volume: 638,497
Avg Vol (3m): 779,418
Market Cap: 407.46M
P/E (ttm): 129.93
EPS (ttm): 0.14
Div & Yield: N/A (N/A)

PEG Ratio (5 yr expected): 1.95

Regardless of what you read....a high P/E is usually a good sign if the numbers and growth percentages behind it can support it. This stock is way oversold and should be trading about $35-$40.00 a share. In a bull market you could easily make this a 2 bagger and by the end of 2008 it could be a 4-5 bagger.

The NASDAQ was down -61.2 pts today yet this stock went up. If that isn't a strong stock....I don't know what is. It dropped hard a few days ago...I'm trying to find out why. Maybe a competitor has a better product?

Perhaps this was the reason for the drop

http://seekingalpha.com/arti...sts-the-latter?source=etrade

It is trading below its 10dma, 20dma and 50 dma (Day moving average) and trading outside its Bollinger bands. By all rights it should be going up....I'll have to watch this stock and see if it goes up with big volume.

I think I'll wait until they post their next quarterly earnings report to see how they do before I stick money in this stock for now.....reading about how GE is taking up their business leaves me a little nerved. If I see it breaking out on big volume I'll jump in and make some money off of it....otherwise I'll just add it to my watch list and wait.

I don't know if it is what he means but a 4 bagger in baseball means a home run.

Every time it goes up...you get a bag. A 4 bagger means it goes up 4 times its current price...at 10 bagger gains ten times its initial worth.

I knew this stock was about to go up......and it did. I still don't like it..but its a good buy now for a couple of days if you want to make some money. It broke out and if the NASDAQ remains in the positive you make let it grow 3-4 dollars up then sell it. They only have a .14 EPS but are expected to grow 137% to .54 a share so you could make a few bucks on this and dump it.
