Rail Road Stocks

With the price of fuel and truckers going broke, Rail Roads could be very busy as they are much "greener" than 18 wheelers. While its not good to predict its easier to see which way the money is flowing.

Observing some of the Railroad stocks over the last few months its easy to see that the interest is beginning to pick up.

The top five are

1 C S X Corp (CSX)
2 Genesee & Wyoming Inc (GWR)
3 Kansas City Southern (KSU)
4 Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNI)
5 Norfolk Southern Corp (NSC)

Another is Union Pacific Corp. (UNP) and its ranked 7th.

KSU and CSX have the highest EPS ratings in their industry.

Warren Buffet has been buying BNI up like crazy. He also owns some UNP and NSC.

The entire railroad group has an industry ranking of 8 out of 197 industry groups.

I'd stick with the top five and stick with those that are have not been driven up.

KSU is looking like a pretty good stock right now at 37.75.

And NSC at 53.07 doesn't look half bad.

CSX as at 54.59....

I'd stick with the top two in EPS rating ....KSU and CSX. They are in the top five...I think in time they will climb pretty high.

I know this idea isn't popular in this country but we need a serious nationalized railroad.
