Tulsa Microburst ...
http://www.kten.com/Global/story.asp?S=5000607
| Quote From Source: | The cleanup continues today in Tulsa after a hurricane-force storm hit the city early yesterday.
A microburst caused winds up to 85 miles per hour in a two-square-mile area of midtown Tulsa and left about 13-thousand Public Service Company of Oklahoma electric customers without power.

| Quote From Source: | The most serious damage occurred when winds up to 85 mph whipped through the area between 11th and 21st streets from Yale Avenue west to the Broken Arrow Expressway about 5:35 a.m.
Many people said they heard the storm but had no clue about its gravity until they looked out their windows.

When I was young I had something come directly over my house. I don't know if it was a microburst or a weak tornado. I was down in Florida and sitting in our sun room watching the storm. I saw this thing coming from the east-southeast. Weird thing it looked like clouds blowing straight down. I don't mean slow movement. It was very rapid movement of the clouds. It came over our property and there was a very quick intense straight down wind where the palm branches blew straight down. Based on how far the bent I'd guess the winds were somewhere around 70mph.

I'd guess 100 to 120mph.

Sure. Once the winds spread horizontally, the force is no different than that produced by an F1 tornado or a mid-Cat 1 hurricane, which can down trees and cause minor roof damage:
