Snow falls on Baghdad for first time in memory

Quote From Source:
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Snow fell on Baghdad on Friday for the first time in memory, and delighted residents declared it an omen of peace.

"It is the first time we've seen snow in Baghdad," said 60-year-old Hassan Zahar. "We've seen sleet before, but never snow. I looked at the faces of all the people, they were astonished," he said.

"A few minutes ago, I was covered with snowflakes. In my hair, on my shoulders. I invite all the people to enjoy peace, because the snow means peace," he said.

As recession looms, stock plunge, wars rage, sub prime woes continue.....

Stories like this are often overlooked. How many times in recent past have we seen new snowfall in places that have never gotten snow that we know of???

I think there is a bigger and more foreboding problem humanity is overlooking that is looming on the horizon.

They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out.

thats a fluff story on the surface but underneath, the ramifications of what caused it could be scary.
