Tornadoes in the United States: Past 24 Hours

A Web site developed at the University of Michigan shows where tornadoes hit the United States each day. Visitors can zoom in to see a city, or zoom out to see the entire country.

It's a mash-up of data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Google Maps and Google Earth. Perry Samson, a professor in the Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences, is the developer.
