U.S. Freezes Solar Energy Projects

Quote From Source:
Faced with a surge in the number of proposed solar power plants, the federal government has placed a moratorium on new solar projects on public land until it studies their environmental impact, which is expected to take about two years.

The Bureau of Land Management says an extensive environmental study is needed to determine how large solar plants might affect millions of acres it oversees in six Western states — Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.

Craig Cox, the executive director of the Interwest Energy Alliance, a renewable energy trade group, said he worried that the freeze would “throw a monkey wrench” into the solar energy industry at precisely the wrong time.

“I think it's good to have a plan,” Mr. Cox said, “but I don't think we need to stop development in its tracks.”

Sounds like Government BS. Somebody in charge got their pockets lined to shut this down by the oil company. I bet if the was truly investigated...the person that made the final decision to do this has probably got some money in accounts, or a new boat..or something new for doing this.

It makes no sense to do this. Somebody got paid. Its the only explanation. Its pure simple fucking bullshit and its the kind of bullshit that has landed America in the position its in now. Its called greed. Take care of number 1 and screw the nation as a whole.

Exactly what I thought. We need to "study their environmental impact", all while using energy sources we know for a fact have a negative impact. Sounds about right, here's a new yacht courtesy of Exxon Mobile for being "environmentally conscious".

And at the same time we are in the process of staging a terrorist attack against Iran in hopes of driving oil prices even higher. Make no mistake this is what any planned attack is about. Even if they don't go forward with it the possibility will be enough to drive commodities prices higher.

Why are they doing this? What is to be gained for the human race to drive up commodity prices?

Who is gaining from this and why? What are they going to do with the gains??

How is this benefiting the planet???
