This NOAA satellite image taken Thursday, August 03, 2006 at 1:15 a.m. EDT shows shows Tropical Storm Chris to the north and east of Puerto Rico.  Chris has some potential to strenghten into a hurricane late this week or over the weekend.  The path forecast for this storm is highly uncertain, but the storm will likely move towards southern Florida.  Residents of the Northern Caribbean Islands and Southern Florida should keep a close watch on this storm.    Also visible are a line of clouds through the Great Lakes and into the Mid-West.  These clouds are bringing downpours and thunderstorms to the region.
