DHR Online is an easy-to-use website that lists immediately available rental properties. Victims can search by location, price range, and housing description including number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Federal and state officials are pleased to announce that more than $4 billion in disaster assistance is now in the hands of Hurricane Katrina and Rita victims from Louisiana. Disaster assistance funds have helped individuals and families with temporary rental expenses, housing repair to damaged homes, and critical disaster-related needs, including reimbursement for damaged property and belongings. These funds have allowed many to begin their journey on the road to recovery.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Louisiana Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness are closing two Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs). The Jennings DRC will shut down at the close of business on Friday, Jan. 6 at 5 p.m. and the Boutte DRC will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14.
