Popocatepetl Volcano, Mexico - John Seach (View Original Story)
Source: Posted: 12-02-2007 at 12:00:30
Activity has resumed at Popocatepetl Volcano in Mexico. Over the past 24 hours there were 6 emissions of ash, with a maximum height of 2000m above the crater. There were reports of ash falling in Atlautla, Tepetlixpa and Amecameca in the State of Mexico, as well as in Iztacalco in the Federal District. The eruptions are probably phreatomagmatic, caused by the action of rainwater on the lava dome.
