| PASADENA, Calif. -- The Malibu Bluffs Local Assistance Center at 24250 Pacific Coast Highway will close at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. It will transition to a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) at a new location, 23805 Stuart Ranch Road, #100, on Monday, Dec. 10. |

BOSTON - Today, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded $83,922 in Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) to local fire departments in the state of Vermont. Nationally, the fiscal year (FY) 2007 AFG awards, which will be distributed in phases, will ultimately provide over $490 million to fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical service organizations throughout the country. |

| WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is closely monitoring flooding in the Pacific Northwest. The coastal storm that came ashore on December 1, 2007, has moved inland, bringing increased flood risk throughout western Washington and Oregon. Additional flooding is expected along some rivers in both states. FEMA continues coordinating with federal partners, tribal, state and local governments and voluntary agencies. Federal and state officials today started a process in Washington to assess damages to homes and businesses in counties most affected by this week's storm and flooding. |
