| The fossil cliffs of Joggins are a world-class paleontological site located near the head of the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia, Canada. This area is subjected to some of the world's highest tides, over 15 metres (49 ft). The tidal action causes steady erosion of the 23 metre (75 ft) high cliffs, constantly revealing new fossils. On land near the cliffs, the province of Nova Scotia is building the Joggins Fossil Cliffs Interpretative Centre. At the request of WHW, a Halifax based architectural firm designing the Centre, Green Power Labs Inc. completed a comprehensive Solar Suitability Assessment of the proposed site. The project has now been given final approval; construction is underway. |
