A robotic vehicle designed for underwater exploration plunged repeatedly into the depths of Mexico's mysterious El Zacatón sinkhole in late May, finding its previously undiscovered bottom 318 meters below the surface and generating a sonar map of its inner dimensions.(ScienceDaily)

The 6.4-magnitude quake at 5:34 a.m. was centered in the old downtown of Ning'er County in Pu'er City, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.2.(USAToday)
