WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that federal disaster aid has been made available for the state of Texas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and tornadoes during the period of April 21-24, 2007.

CLOVIS, N.M. -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the New Mexico Office of Emergency Management and the U.S. Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Assistance, have approved more than $2 million in grants and loans in the 30 days since the Presidential disaster declaration was issued.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Three additional Disaster Recovery Centers will open in New Jersey Thursday to respond to the needs of residents of storm-tossed Hudson, Union and Mercer counties, FEMA officials announced today. With these new centers, FEMA will have nine Disaster Recovery Centers operating in the Garden State in the wake of April's nor'easter storm and flooding.
