Through an agreement valued at approximately $400 million, GE Energy will provide Canadian wind energy developer SkyPower Corporation with 200 wind turbines for projects across Canada and the United States. Slated for delivery in 2009, the 1.5-megawatt (MW) GE machines will have the capacity to produce a total of 300 MW of wind-generated electricity.

DT Solar, a Turner Renewable Energy company, and Hall's Warehouse Corporation, a family-owned refrigerated and frozen food storage and distribution company, announced an agreement to build a 2-megawatt (MW) solar electric power system to supply electricity to their facility in South Plainfield, New Jersey. The companies say that when completed, this project will be the largest rooftop solar electric system serving a private company in the United States.
