| Gas emissions remain elevated at the summit of Kilauea volcano in Hawaii. Since the beginning of January, sulphur dioxide levels have been 2-4 times background levels. SO2 concentrations exceed 10 ppm for approximately 200 m (650 ft) of the road between the Halema`uma`u parking lot and the south caldera pullout.
