Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp., and US Renewables Group have reached an agreement to commercialize the company's Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) tower technology and corresponding molten salt storage system developed by Rocketdyne under the name SolarReserve. United Technologies acquired Rocketdyne in 2005.

Akeena Solar, Inc. announced that its solar panel technology, Andalay, will be distributed in Europe, Japan and Australia under a license agreement with Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. Suntech targets sales of more than 10 megawatts of the Andalay solar panels to the licensed regions in 2008.

Evidence of a growing need for clean, renewable energy resources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is evident in Environmental Solar Systems' (ESS') fifty percent increase in its third quarter sales over this time last year. The majority of that business is through sales of its SunMate Hot Air Solar Panel to distributors.
