AEP Signs Wind Energy PPA with Beech Ridge

| American Electric Power subsidiary Appalachian Power Co. has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for wind energy with Beech Ridge Energy LLC, a subsidiary of Invenergy Wind LLC. The agreement is subject to approval from the Public Service Commission of West Virginia and the extension for 2009 of the federal production tax credit for renewable energy. Pricing terms remain confidential. |
